QLD Skills Hub
On Monday, 14 September 2020 RDA DDSW hosted GO1 to present a webinar on the QLD Skills Hub.
The Queensland Government is currently partnering with GO1 under its Economic Recovery Strategy – Unite and Recover for Queensland Jobs to provide a world first for Queensland small businesses and employees impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In announcing the partnership in June, the Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development, Shannon Fentiman MP described GO1 as the ‘Netflix for training’ having already achieved the milestone of over one million users worldwide.
Queensland small business owners, startups and their staff now have an unprecedented opportunity to access 500 select online courses, ranging from five minutes to a few hours, for FREE until December 2020.

- Leading a successful business
- Connecting businesses and customers
- Digital skills and adapting to change.

Examples of courses available include – Introduction to Digital Marketing, Keys to set up a Remote Team, Build Resilience through Perseverance, How to Deal with Customer Complaints and Improve Your Business, Cyber Security Tips for Small Business, Top Retail Tips, The 4P’s of Marketing and Business Planning for Small Business.
To access the free courses, small business owners with an ABN registered in Queensland and a team of 20 or less staff can register at www.qldskills.com.au
A second GO1 portal, Skills Focus Queensland provides access for Queenslanders whose jobs have been impacted by COVID-19 with approximately 400 courses across topic areas such as CV Writing and Interview Preparation, Sales, Finance and IT.
