Committee Members

RDA committees are non profit community based organisations. Committee members are committed volunteers appointed from the region and represent the community, business and local government. Each RDA committee has a broad and diverse skills base and demonstrated networks and alliances. The committee of RDA Darling Downs and South West Inc  comprises ten members, all of whom were appointed via application by the Federal Government in October 2009.

The Chair of RDA Darling Downs and South West Inc is Cr. Bill Cahill. Bill is an elected representative of the Toowoomba Regional Council and currently oversees the Environmental and Community Services portfolio.  Councillor  Cahill brings technical and corporate management skills, as well as small business experience, to his role as Chair. He is actively involved in voluntary roles with community organisations, and has been a member of the Darling Downs Regional Organisation of Councils and a former panel member on a State Ministerial Regional Community Forum for the Darling Downs and South Western Region.

The Deputy Chair of RDA Darling Downs and South West Inc is Southern Downs Councillor, CR Vic Pennisi.
